Michael D. Falkove, MD, graduated the Medical College of Temple University, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, in 1969. He completed an internship at Allentown General Hospital, Allentown, Pennsylvania and went on to a two-year residency in internal medicine at Long Island Jewish Hospital, New Hyde Park, New York. He completed a one-year fellowship in pulmonary medicine at Triboro Hospital, Queens, New York. Following his fellowship Dr. Falkove joined a private internal medical practice until 1996 at which time he joined Island Medical Group. In addition to his private practice, Dr. Falkove has been very involved with utilization management and has served as medical director or associate medical director for a number of local managed care companies. He served as a surveyor for the National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA) from 19997-2002.
