Joseph F. Nestola, DO, graduated from New York College of Osteopathic Medicine, Old Westbury, New York, in 1985. He completed a rotating internship at Massapequa General hospital in 1986 and then a three year Internal Medicine residency at Booth Memorial Medical Center in Flushing, New York. He has been in private practice since 1989 and joined Island Medical Group in August of 2009. In addition to his private practice, Dr. Nestola is a wound care specialist at New Hospital Wound Care Center having completed specialized training in wound care management. Dr. Nestola utilizes the latest technology including the use of Hyperbaric Oxygen and specialized wound care products to treat diabetic and vascular ulcerations. He is board certified in Internal Medicine and maintains professional membership in the American Osteopathic Association. Dr. Nestola is an avid sports fan and shares this passion with his family. He enjoys coaching his son’s basketball team and attending Girl Scout functions with his daughter. |
